USB Microphones for Voice Over Recording

In this video, William Williams discusses the pros and cons of using USB mics for voiceover work. He explains that all microphones are analog and all audio is digital, so an analog to digital converter is needed to record into a computer. He then explains the history of USB mics, from the primitive versions to the modern ones which have all the features of an interface box built into the mic. He recommends looking for a quality mic, a large diaphragm condenser mic with a 20-20,000 hertz frequency range, gain control, zero latency headphone monitoring, and a 24-bit chip set. He concludes that the newer USB mics are a good choice for voiceover home studios.
